- FEES
WFMP is a private billing practice and fees are payable at the time of consultation. A 15 minute standard consultation costs $70.
Additional fees will apply if a procedure or test is done by your doctor during the consulation, eg Spirometry test. You will be charged a higher fee for a longer or more complex visit. We accept cash, cheque, MasterCard, Visa or Eftpos. Accounts not paid at the time of consultation have a handling fee of $5.50. If you cancel an appointment, please let us know in sufficient time to transfer the appointment to someone on the wait list or you will be charged a cancellation fee. A list of usual fees charged is displayed in the waiting room.
- MEDICARE ON-LINE CLAIMING
After you have paid your account in full, we can submit the claim to Medicare on your behalf, via a secure Internet connection. If you have given your bank details to Medicare, your Medicare rebate will be paid into your nominated account within 2-3 working days. You can register online at www.medicareaustralia.gov.au/online or by visiting your local Medicare office. For your protection, the practice does not submit or retain any patient banking information.
- BULK BILLING
Consultations for Veterans and some pensioners may be bulk-billed at the discretion of the treating doctor.
- PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS
Repeat prescriptions without an appointment may be given as long as this is in your best interest (such as maintenance treatment of long-standing conditions), and you have been seen by one of the doctors in the last 2 months. Please give us 5 working days notice. A charge of $8.00 will be made for repeat prescriptions without a consultation.
- SPECIALIST REFERRALS
Specialist referrals need prior discussion and examination unless they are for on-going treatment. Referrals will only be given without consultation if the previous referral was written by a doctor who is currently working at this practice. Please give us 5 working days notice. A charge of $15.00 will be made for repeat or on-going referrals without a consultation.
